Organised by IETA, in collaboration with the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) and officially hosted by the Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand, ACS 2025 took place from 8 to 10 July in Bangkok, Thailand with one focus on scaling up of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement in the region.

During the panel "From theory to trade: the next chapter for Article 6", Vicky Janssens, KliK Foundation’s representative in Bangkok, shared information on the progress and challenges of implementing mitigation activities in Switzerland’s partner countries. About 20 Mitigation Activity Design Documents (MADD) are waiting to receive authorisation, and another 30 to 40 MADD are expected to request authorisation by the end of 2025. With these authorisations in place, implementation can begin, paving the way for ITMO transfers and cooperative climate action.

Vicky Janssens, KliK Foundation’s General Manager South East Asia, also co-facilitated the session "Women In Carbon", celebrating the voices, leadership, and vision of women shaping carbon markets.

Congratulations to the entire ACS 2025 team on the excellent organization!
