The signing ceremony between Zambia, represented by the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment (MGEE), and Switzerland, represented by the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC), took place during COP30 in Belém, Brazil. This cooperation marks an important milestone, enabling the KliK Foundation to support greenhouse gas mitigation activities in Zambia.

Having already adopted its Zambia Carbon Market Framework, the country is well positioned to begin implementing Article 6. To make the deployment of climate-friendly and innovative technologies financially viable, the KliK Foundation is stepping up to purchase Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs).
