The other panelists were José Meza Segura, Director General of Energy Efficiency at the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), Jürg Grütter, a climate change and transport expert and CEO of G Consulting, and Yanna Gruel, General Manager of Microsol – Tuki Wasi Programme (Ruru Tarpuy).

During the discussion, Andrea Thurner emphasized that bilateral climate agreements truly come to life only through stable national frameworks, such as the RENAMI in Peru, that enable the effective use of Article 6. She also drew attention to the importance of clear national guidance during the process of implementing activities. Delivering measurable and verified emission reductions will demonstrate that the cooperative approach under the Paris Agreement is working, helping to build trust in this mechanism and drive broader climate action.
