The ITMOs purchased by the KliK Foundation will contribute to fulfilling its obligation under the Swiss CO₂ Act. Switzerland intends to use these ITMOs towards achieving its target under the Paris Agreement, as set out in its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).

2% of the issued ITMOs are deducted for Overall Mitigation in Global Emissions (OMGE). This share is cancelled as a direct climate benefit and cannot be used to reduce emissions from the Swiss transport sector, ensuring a net contribution to global climate mitigation.

The transfer and issuance of these ITMOs follow a rigorous process aligned with the Article 6.2 guidance of the Paris Agreement, the implementation agreement between Thailand and Switzerland, and the respective national legislations of both countries.

The underlying monitoring report was independently verified by a third party, confirming that all emission reductions are real and have been quantified according to the highest standards and safeguarding environmental integrity.
