The KliK Foundation financially supports activities to reduce greenhouse gases beyond Switzerland's borders. Chile, Peru and Uruguay are among the 14 countries with which Switzerland has signed bilateral climate agreements. The three South American countries benefit from Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement, whereby the strategies and priorities of their respective climate protection policies are shaped by national contexts. These determine the country-specific focus of the KliK Foundation's portfolio. Take a look at the different framework conditions with us and find out how diverse the implementation of the A6.2 mechanism is.

In Switzerland, around 2,000 refrigeration plants have become more climate-friendly since 2016 thanks to funding. By 2030, a total of around 630,000 tonnes of CO₂ are expected to be saved. Two examples from programme participants and an exchange with the Association for Refrigeration Technology illustrate how the supported programme has made a decisive contribution to supporting sustainable cooling in Switzerland.
